Call to Photographers

We are looking for submissions from photographers for a photography exhibition called TABOO

TABOO is a fine art photography exhibition, with no boundaries. The exhibition deals with topics that may be controversial and content that some may find uncomfortable. The artists challenge prejudice and bigotry, enabling freedom to express through the visual medium of photography.

The theme can be interpreted in many ways, whatever TABOO means to the photographer. It could be social, political, environmental or personal. The important factor is that the image should be high impact, visually and in narrative. We are interested in images that evoke an emotional response.

The submissions will be selected on image alone, irrespective of artist’s pedigree, notoriety or catalogue of work. In other words, everyone is welcome to make a submission. Multiple submissions are accepted.

The images can be anything from raw film photography to edited digital work. In the submission we would like to know the technique used. Please also include artist’s name, image title, dimensions of the print, edition size and retail price (includes gallery commission). If selected, the work should be ready to hang and delivered to the gallery by February 19.

Submissions closing date is January 29.
